Clitocybe gibba (Pers.) Kumm, formally called Clitocybe infundibuliformis (Schaeff. ex Weinm.) Quel. Ockerbrauner Trichterling Clitocybe en entonnoir, Clitocybe ombon Common Funnel Cap. Cap 3-8cm across, funnel-shaped often with a wavy margin, pale pinkish buff to ochre, silky smooth. Stem 30-80x 5-10mm, pale buff, tough and slightly swollen towards the base. Flesh whitish to buff. Smell faint and sweet. Gills decurrent, crowded, whitish. Spore print white. Spores pip-shaped, 6-7 x 3.5-4.5. Habitat in deciduous woodland or on heaths. Season summer to late autumn. Common. Edible. (Never eat any mushroom until you are certain it is edible as many are poisonous and some are deadly poisonous.) Found In Europe and north America. |
